Tenisha Weeks at the Junior Calypso Monarch Finals
Singing the chorus: “Lord have mercy/Meh school bag is too heavyâ€, 10-year-old Tenisha Weeks won the hearts of the judges to gain first place at the TUCO/Sunshine Snacks National Junior Monarch Final yesterday at the Jean Pierre Complex, Port-of-Spain.
Her song “School Bag Dilemma†addressed the well-known topic of primary school students having to carry very heavy bags of school books to class on a daily basis, from infants to Standard Five.
