Disappointed Bodyguard out Dimanche Gras

AFTER successfully filing a lawsuit in the High Court for a chance to compete in the Calypso Fiesta (the semi-finals of the Calypso Monarch), Young Kings winner Roger “Bodyguard” Mohammed was unable to get the judges’ nod to secure a place in the Finals.

However, a disappointed Mohammed told Newsday he would not be seeking any further court action in an attempt to compete in the biggest and most prestigious competition of the entire Carnival season — Calypso Monarch held on Dimanche Gras (Carnival Sunday).

  • if he was singing against the opposition he would have been allowed in. but because he was singing against the current pnm pm he was not.
