The second day of the Soca in the Square concert series continued the high-spirited pace experienced the day before. This time, on Tuesday 6th February, 2007, the audience were treated to the majestic sounds of the Roy Cape All Stars band and its frontline singers Blaxx, Trini Jacobs and Olatunji Yearwood.

The Roy Cape All Star band, which already has a reputation for crisp and melodic music, were able to draw thousands of patrons to Woodford Square, just as the proverbial Pan Piper drew many by the sweet sounds of his instrument.

Each of Roy Cape All Stars’ frontline singers brought with them a unique vibe to the music. However, the young Olatunji Yearwood seems to be the most energetic of the bunch and he was able to move the crowd with his antics and fresh dance moves.

Guest performing with the of Roy Cape All Stars band was the iconic Leroy ‘Black Stalin’ Calliste who worked the crowd into a frenzy. He sang many of his hits including “Black Man Feeling to Party” and other tunes.

The audience, after witnessing the quality performances with the Roy Cape band, would certainly be inspired to journey again to Woodford Square to see what next the concert series has to offer.
