Mr. Straker 1907-2000, a veteran of Laventille, after whom Straker Village was named because he built the first hut there.

It is truly hard to believe that this place was the source of Quarry activities and operations, it looks like it never existed, is the trail seen in the lower right-center of this picture, is a remnant of the 'Jeremy Quarry?'

When I first saw this picture, I thought this area was a conduit servicing the Picton Hill resevoir. Thanks to Christine for explaining the Historical purpose of the Ft. Picton tunnel. It is truly Astounding and Amazing!

It is indeed the Most Unique, Historical Fortifications ever seen, and what is even Most Impressive, is that 'Fort Picton' has not only endured and withstood the most decisive and pivotal battles in the History of T&T, this structure also resisted decades of harsh elements and weather.

It is Really Impressive, that from one location in Laventille's Straker Village, you have an Awesome, and Panoramic view of various locations of our Capital City and the surrounding environs, such as the 'NP House' and the Tanker vessel docked in the harbour. Great photo-capture Christine.

This is Absolutely a Modern Marvel in itself, a reservoir on a hill, the History Channel should focus on this Megastructure as it is in a most peculiar location, it is truly a Magnificent picture of the Picton Hill Reservoir.

Absolutely and Eminently Beautiful, Straker Village has the Best view of the Capital City, from this location some of the most famous buildings and various landmarks are seen. Kudos Christine!! Kudos!!!
