Kaiso Karavan Calypso Tent Judging Night 2019

On Thursday 07th February 2019, TUCO's east zone calypso tent, Kaiso Karavan, was visited by the National Calypso Monarch judging panel for the preliminary round of judging. From a cast of twenty-three calypsonians who performed, eighteen vied for a place in the semi-final round of the competition. This year, the tent returned to their seasonal home base at the Eric Williams Auditorium, La Joya Complex, Eastern Main Road, St. Joseph. The show's programme was hosted by Mr. Godfrey Pierre. Music was provided by the tent's resident band, the Ruiz Brothers and the Karavan Gems back-up singers.
Some of the songs included: “Peace in the Land” by Eunice Peters, Erphaan Alves’ “I Am”, Sheldon Nugget’s “Celebrate Them”, Kerine ‘Tiny’ Williams-Gigaro’s “Slipping Away”, Marsha ‘Lady Adanna’ Clifton’s “Shango Say” and “Kettle” by Choc’late ‘Choc’late’ Allen.
